Compared to worm gear systems, the ball screw mechanism has lower resistance, enabling superior acceleration and deceleration performance.

The wear of ball screws is much lower than that of worm gears; using ball screws can achieve a much longer service life.

As ball screws operate on rolling friction, it can reduce backlash through preloading. In contrast, worm gears function through sliding friction, requiring operational clearance which results in larger backlash.
