High-stability Stainless Steel Mirror Mount (Top-adjust Type)

Two symmetrical versions are available: R type and L type, depending on the mirror mounting orientation.

The mirror is held in place at three points on the sides, including a leaf spring retention mechanism whose force can be adjusted with set screws.

The holder provides two axes of adjustment, enabling tilt and rotation control.

It is also equipped with adhesive holes for mirror bonding and pin holes for anti-rotation and positioning.

As a custom option, the adjustment mechanism can be replaced with a piezo drive motor for remote operation. For details, please contact our Sales Division.

Guide

The recommended tightening torque for the set screw of the leaf spring retention mechanism is 3 to 5 N·cm.

Please use a hexagonal wrench to adjust the tilt and rotation. Do not use bare hands to turn the tilt or rotation screws. Hexagonal wrench with knob for MHX-12.7 (KCL-1513) is also available.

We also offer a screw-in knob (MHX-K-M6) specifically for MHX instead of a hexagonal wrench.

A special lock (MHX-L-M*) is also available to hold the adjusted angle.

Attention

Cannot be attached to M6 posts (RO). Use M4 or 8-32 UNC rods (ROC, RO-UU) when using a post.

Using the accessory small head screw, Pedestal bases (PST) and optical baseplates can be secured with M4 or 8-32UNC screws.

When used with a cross beam (optical system such as a Michelson interferometer), the effective diameter of the beam becomes smaller.
